TEI hosted its 2025 US International Tax Course from August 11–15 at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia, continuing a tradition since TEI’s founding of excellence in expert instructor-led continuing education. The course brought together tax professionals working for both US and non-US-headquartered companies for a week of learning, collaboration, and networking focused on the fundamentals, challenges, and opportunities present in US international taxation.

As in previous years, attendees represented a wide range of career stages—from those new to their roles, taking on additional responsibilities, transitioning into international tax, or seeking a refresher on key US international tax topics. The course was taught by world-class faculty bringing a practical and succinct perspective to complex topics, such as the development of international tax law and policy, sourcing rules, foreign tax credit fundamentals, inbound taxation, foreign currency issues, transfer pricing, international reorganizations and inversions, and reporting requirements.  Additionally, the course covered the key areas of Subpart F, global intangible low-taxed income, earnings and profits, and structuring foreign transactions.

In addition to sessions led by seasoned instructors, attendees had multiple opportunities to deepen their engagement and build connections through a range of social and networking events. Highlights included an informal Kick-off Attendee Meetup; a Welcome Reception and Mixer sponsored by Baker Tilly and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP; and an evening of networking and fun at Topgolf, generously sponsored by BakerHostetler, PwC, and KPMG.

TEI thanks all speakers, attendees, and sponsors for making this year’s course a success. Everyone’s engagement and enthusiasm made the week memorable, and TEI looks forward to hosting our 2026 US International Tax Course in beautiful Seattle, Washington, for the first time, April 27–May 1.
