TEI Region 9 held its annual conference May 18–20 at InterContinental the Clement Monterey in Monterey, California.
Region 9 Vice President and conference organizer Ana Mendez Darby kicked off the meeting on a beautiful Tuesday morning, followed by an enlightening discussion of the current tax policy environment in Washington, D.C. Attendees were treated to Tuesday dinner at the renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium, courtesy of Eversheds Sutherland and PwC.
The conference ended with a session featuring TEI International President Walter Doggett and former IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig, who discussed the present IRS landscape after the significant changes in personnel and budget cuts under the current presidential administration.
