TEI’s EMEA Chapter held its Spring Conference in Amsterdam on May 15 and 16.
Hosted at EY’s Wavespace conference facility, the meeting brought together in-house tax professionals across Europe for compelling sessions on tax technology and global trends.
The EMEA Direct Tax Committee and EMEA Indirect Tax & Tariffs Committee provided updates regarding their extensive advocacy efforts on value-added tax in the digital age, European Union decluttering, and a transfer pricing guidelines review of intragroup services. Also joining were authorities from the Dutch Tax Administration for a Q&A session on the Pillar Two qualified domestic minimum top-up tax and Manuel de los Santos from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development for a session on trade and tariffs.
TEI Executive Director Pilar Mata attended the meeting on behalf of staff and discussed plans for the chapter’s future with the EMEA Chapter board.
