In June, TEI International President Josephine Scalia visited Europe, where she connected with the TEI EMEA Chapter leadership team. In the photo above, from left to right, she appears with Sarah Williams (2024–2025 EMEA Chapter president), Gaia Fraschetti (2025–2026 EMEA Chapter president), and Karine Halimi-Guez (EMEA Chapter board member).
In addition, she discussed future advocacy items with Sandra Esteves (EMEA Chapter Direct Tax Committee chair and chapter board member) and engage with other EMEA Chapter members on many other key initiatives.
On the same trip, Scalia was able to plan for TEI’s International Tax Student Case Competition in three countries. In Amsterdam, she met with professionals from TEI Case Competition Gala co-sponsor KPMG, including the Honourable Patrick J. Boyle, former justice of the Tax Court of Canada and Case Competition judge. She also visited with TEI members in London and with representatives from the University of Liège and Maastricht University, both of which competed at the Case Competition in Montréal, Canada, this August.
