print this article

Over several months last year and a few weeks this year, TEI’s EMEA Chapter and International Tax Committee members were given the chance to offer their input on the state of tax reporting and compliance in the European Union (EU). The survey, titled Decluttering the EU Tax Reporting & Compliance Environment, revealed several key insights into how burdensome several aspects of the international landscape have become. Those aspects include EU public country-by-country reporting, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Pillar Two implementation, the latest directive on administrative cooperation (DAC6), and the anti-tax avoidance directive (ATAD).

The effort to garner TEI member feedback was spearheaded by longtime TEI member and EMEA Chapter Web Administrator Ralf Thelosen of Citco. The following results from the survey underscore the concerns amid the mayhem that is the current international tax environment.
