TEI held its annual Federal Tax Course – Level 1 from May 19 to 23 at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta. This year’s course welcomed more than seventy attendees from across the United States.
Over the five-day program, participants engaged in a robust lineup of educational sessions, including the introduction of a new topic, effectively managing IRS audits. In addition to the technical learning, attendees enjoyed ample networking opportunities. Highlights included a casual meetup; a welcome mixer sponsored by Eversheds Sutherland and KPMG; a Topgolf outing sponsored by Alston & Bird, Asbury Law Firm, and Baker Tilly; and a lively social send-off reception.
A new interactive activity, Connection Cards, was introduced to spark conversation and engagement. Attendees received cards with thought-provoking questions and were encouraged to go around the room asking each other the questions. To add a fun twist, participants who completed the activity were entered into a raffle at the end of the night, with the lucky winner taking home a TEI swag bag.
The event was a resounding success, offering valuable insights and meaningful connections for all who attended.
