TEI’s Eighth Annual Tax Technology Seminar welcomed a sold-out crowd of more than 220 attendees to Las Vegas this spring for three days of practical insights, forward-looking discussions, and interactive learning on the future of tax technology. The event featured an impressive lineup of 100 expert speakers and 140 exhibitors representing thirty-eight leading tax technology vendors.
A major highlight of this year’s event was the Tax Technology Sandbox: Learn by Doing. Offered as a special add-on to the three-day seminar, this brand-new immersive experience allowed participants to work directly with tax technology tools in guided small-group settings. Attendees worked through real-world tax scenarios alongside expert instructors, gaining practical experience and a deeper understanding of how these tools can streamline today’s tax departments.
Held April 27–29, the main seminar brought together tax, data, and technology professionals to explore how automation, AI, data strategy, and digital transformation are reshaping the tax function. Complementing the Sandbox add-on, the broader event also featured small Hands-On Sessions that allowed attendees to work directly within tax technology tools and explore practical applications in real time.

“The Tax Technology Seminar continues to be one of TEI’s most impactful programs, because it brings together in-house tax professionals to move beyond theory and focus on what actually works in practice,” says Todd Lard, TEI tax counsel and liaison to the TEI Tax Technology Committee. “This year’s seminar was no exception—the sold-out crowd showed an unparalleled level of engagement. The hands-on learning and the exchange of real-world experiences this year really highlighted how quickly our profession is evolving—and how important it is for tax teams to stay connected, adaptable, and future-ready.”
TEI would like to thank the Tax Technology Seminar Planning Committee, lead by Cheria Coram, Belinda Buvens, Kyle Fox, Vikesh Patel, Jess Ponzo, and Sara Mendiola, for their efforts on the event.
TEI’s 2027 Tax Technology Seminar will take place next May 2–5 in Atlanta. Stay tuned for upcoming TEI tax technology education and learning opportunities throughout the year.
